Back in May 2013 we posted that this website was in progress. It was built on WordPress, and it carried both volumes of Daylight Dims for years.
This month we converted the site from that original WordPress release into a plain, static website. Every page has come across: the stories, the artwork, the reviews, the team and the news. The design is the one you know. What has gone is everything behind the scenes: there is no database and there are no plugins to keep updated, so there is far less that can go wrong, and the pages load quickly.
While we were at it, we tidied up a few things:
- Both volumes now link straight to their eBook editions on Amazon.
- The dust-jacket hardback edition is marked as not currently in print.
- Twitter is now X, and the share buttons work again.
- On phones, the menu tucks away as you scroll down and comes back when you scroll up, and the cover art stays still behind the page, as it always has on a computer.
- Every piece in the gallery opens at full size.
Same stories, same art, a new foundation. If you spot anything out of place, tell us on X or Facebook.
